SMART is developed in both C# and R. C#.NET Windows Form is used for building the UI and R serves as its computational and reporting engine. Before you can use it please check the following system requirements and make sure .NET framework is installed on your computer.
PC running Microsoft Windows XP (SP1 or later), Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Later. SMART runs in 32- and 64-bit environments.
.NET 4.5 or later (included with recent Windows installations), and all updates and patches.
120MB disk space to install, plus space for temporary dataset copies.
At least 1GB RAM.
Ideally at least 1024 x 768 screen resolution (Optional).
A Web browser and Internet access are needed to download. Internet access is needed to automatically update the software and online query the DSDs.

or you can get it from .NET website, choose a version higher than 4.5 and install the required Runtime.

After proceeding, please notice that SMART will launch the R package installation for the necessary libraries. This only performs once and will not run for the future executions.
SMART makes use of the ClickOnce Deployment method which enables it to self-update to the newest version. With this strategy, SMART can be installed and run with minimal user interaction. The only requirement to trigger the update is to have internet access at the moment you launch the application.
